I’m a natural introvert. I don’t really like to be around crowds or work very closely with people (I know it’s considered unhealthy, but I’m sure many people can identify WHY I am not so fond of people). Because I am clearly suffering from what I call acute OCD, I like things perfect and I’m meticulous about things like colors, quantities, organization and personal space. Don’t get me wrong, I love socializing with people, I just don’t care to be around them for an extended amount of time or within an enclosed space. I also don’t like to depend on others or others to depend on me (it usually doesn’t work out). Because I love things perfect, I don’t expect people to wait on me and since I am very impatient, I have this crazy belief that I can get things done better and faster than you ever could HAHAHAHA! (Pray for me!) I don’t know if this is called being a woman or if I am a borderline narcissist LOL, but either way, I’m self diagnosed and I’ve recognized there is a problem (baby steps). Well, one of the things I do on my spare time as a hobby is photography. Naturally, I don’t like to photograph people. But I LOVE photographing flowers and objects. Well, I think it is obvious why……..people suck! Just kidding (or not), but plants are very very patient. They photograph well, the colors are usually breathtaking, you don’t have to catch them in the moment (only the right season), and they never tell you to hurry up and click. Even better, they don’t complain about their hair or beg to see all the proofs from your shoot. So this weekend I went to a photography session with my friend Regenia. She is a wonderful photographer who has been helping me with learning how to use my camera and make manual adjustments to the aperture, shutter speed and ISO on my camera. She has been helping me with lighting and how to get rid of hot spots (white areas) and distractions in my photos. Here are a few pictures from our session. Some are great, some are just ok, but overall I’m learning:
Wish I would have gotten some better pictures of these. They smelled so good.
Could have gotten a little closer on this one.
Love the little bug that crept into this one.
Gotta watch those shadows.
I think this one is one of my favorites. I focused right on the stamina.
One of my childhood favorites. Didn’t know dandelions were so interesting.
One of the many pansy pictures I took.
These were taken in early morning. Many of the flowers already had morning dew on them. I can’t wait until I can go right out to my yard and take as many photographs as I want. I have some passion flowers now growing and I’m looking forward to taking more pictures of my gerber daisies.
