Gardening Tip: Packaging Noodles
Packaging noodles are such a waste once you receive a package in the mail. They get every where and you end up throwing them away all for the purpose of sitting in your city landfill for years and years to come. I found a great way to reuse these stirofoam packing noodles! You can add them to the bottom of your pot to help with drainage. Fill your pot about 1/3 of the way up in packaging noodles and the other 2/3 with soil. It helps water to drain more efficiently from your pot and keeps plants from experience root rot. Most gardeners and horticulturists will tell you to add rocks to the bottom of your pot, but noodles work just as well and will keep your pot from becoming heavy and hard to move. Make sure you still have a drainage hole in the bottom of your pot before adding the noodles. Recycle, Reduce and Reuse!!!!!
