Toy’s Garden
In June, I surprised my best friend Toy with a visit to her house. I hadn’t seen her in over a year and thought it would be a good idea to just pop in. After arriving, I have to say that she may be just as much of an avid gardener as I am 🙂 She has more projects going on than I do (although I am going to need her to stop hiring non-English speaking immigrant workers until they can figure out what “THIS TREE HERE” means).
So, I go through her garden and I find a plethora of things that not only would I love to have in my own garden, but flowers that make her garden look like she spends all her time outside in the soil. Beautiful hydrangeas, white roses and mini carnations accent her yard. She also has a beautiful pond full of Koi fish that she has managed to keep alive (inside joke).
Toy’s main project for this summer include fruits and vegetables, like cantaloupe, watermelons and potatoes. She even used one of my gardening tips by using one of her unused fish tanks as a greenhouse.
